We are once again returning to Chester Rugby Club and there will be a choice of routes provisionally 30, 51 and 87 miles long. The weekend will feature a new walking event called Walk Chester approximately 15 miles long. taking in historic Chester and the Cheshire countryside.
As an entrant to Bike Chester, you will benefit from:
_____
Bike Chester Rider - 2023
_____
The 2024 route is a figure of eight with the midpoint at Wrenbury. All riders leave the rugby club heading east towards Delamere before turning south through the Cheshire countryside. The short route turns back around Beeston Crag, and the medium and long routes continue via Eaton and Bunbury to Wrenbury. From here, the long route continues south into Shropshire, through Stoke on Tern and Hodnet before heading turning back for home, via Whitchurch, back through Wrenbury once again, before picking up the medium route and returning to the rugby club
Following in the footsteps (quite literally) of our 2023 Bike Oxford event, we are adding a Walk Chester event to the Bike Chester weekend. The 12 mile route heads out of the Rugby Club and along the Millennium Greenway before joining the Shropshire Union Canal. Walkers follow the canal into Chester from the north, around the Race Course alongside the River Dee and through historic Chester following the City Walls and back to the rugby club along the canalside path. All walkers will receive map with local history before the walk and a medal and a meal at the end of the walk.
The event may appeal to:
